August 6 to August 28, 2011 The DeBlois Gallery's Annual Members' Show has become a highlight of the summer art scene in Newport. DeBlois has enjoyed 27 years as an artist run, non-profit, co-operative gallery that has become a cornerstone of Newport art life. Throughout the past 27 years, DeBlois has hosted literally hundreds of shows for the Newport art community and has earned a reputation as a contemporary gallery that encourages innovation.

Such
innovation is evidenced at the Annual Members' Show, which features an exciting
blend of new work created by the gallery's 15 artist members. Mediums
represented in the show include paintings, print-making, encaustics,
photography, ceramics, digital art, sculpture, mixed-media and assemblage.
Members exhibiting their most recent works are: Valerie Debrule, Kathleen
Morton, Karen Nash and Valorie Sheehan from Newport; Middletown residents
Rosemary Day, Lisa May, Rodie Siegler and Jonathan Small; from Portsmouth,
Izabella Casselman, Helen Poniatowski and Felicia Touhey; Fall River residents
Ron Caplain and Marion Wilner, Michael Guertin from Barrington and Kathleen
Armor from Wakefield.
