The DeBlois Gallery proudly announces the following awards for outstanding work exhibited as part of their annual Open Show entitled "Through the Looking Glass".  This year's show featured more than 100 pieces of work created by artists throughout Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts. Judge Natasha Harrison awarded First Place to popular Newport printmaker Ilse Nesbitt for her woodcut print and block entitled "Christmas Rose". Second Place, as well as Best 3-D Work, was awarded to Ben Butler for a steel and wood sculpture entitled "Earth House Hold".  "Power Supply", an oil painting by Luke Randall, received the Third Place award. Other award winners include Cindy Horowitz Wilson, Brian "Doctor Love" Sullivan, Michael Ford, JR Lynch, and Heather Whitehead. The People's Choice Award went to Nina Hope Pfanstiehl for her charmingly literal rendering of the show's theme.
