Three Visions

Susan Perl, Seth Rainville, and the Silver Circle

Ceramics and Photography

"Three Visions" affords viewers an opportunity to "see" through the creative eyes of the participating artists.

Susan Perl, clay artist from West Hartford, Connecticut, relates that her work "finds its inspiration in the manifestations of time's passage including processes of growth, transformation, erosion and decay". Unique and varied surface treatments result from the multi-step process that she uses to create her one-of-a-kind tiles.

The photography of twelve Silver Circle members, varying widely in both style and subject matter, is also featured in this show. Silver Circle is a group of professional photographers that meets monthly to share technical skill and knowledge.  In addition, they challenge one another creatively, encourage innovation and critique each other's work. Those members exhibiting include: David Allen, Jan Armor, Eric Broudy, Ron Caplain, Michael Guertin, Eric Hovermale, Don Jagoe, Nora Lewis, Jill McLaughlin, Dan McManus, Mike Miller and Claude Verdier.

Seth Rainville, from North Dartmouth, exhibited work that combines his talents as both a painter and ceramicist. His clay sculptural forms and vessels are embellished with monochromatic paintings.

"Three Visions", offering a diverse range of creative expression, appeals to the artistic sensibilities of everyone.
